Gaylord Texan Resort/Houston

We went to Dallas first and stayed at the Gaylord Texan Resort for 2 days. It was amazing I would recommend going there if you haven't been. Then we took off to Houston to go visit some of my mother-in-laws friends, and I got to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins! We had a great time and Jackson did GREAT in the car for 9 hours!!

As most of you all know in September of 2007 my father-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The whole family was devastated with the news and couldn't figure out why this had to happen to such an amazing loving man. He went through extensive treatments and seemed to be having a lot of progress. On February 5th 2008 we got a phone call that would change our lives forever. I ran to bathroom and got Jareds phone and saw that it was Robin. It was 6:00 in the morning so I knew it wasn't going to be good news. When Jared got off the phone he told me what had happened. Keith had passed away from a heart attack in his sleep. We all miss him so much and will always remember him!!!

How we became a family......

Jared and I met in December of 2002 we both worked at FDC in Fayetteville. He worked upstairs in Administration, and I work downstairs in the Lab. One day he left his phone number on my car and told me to call him. Of course I called him that night. Throughout the week we hung out everyday. One night when I was getting ready to go home, we were sitting in my car listening to Metallica "Nothing Else Matters" and had our first kiss.

In 2004 Jared got a job with LabCorp as a Account Manager and had to move to Memphis. So we packed up our stuff and headed to Memphis. We lived in Collierville for a year in an apartment, with Braxton and Jordan (our dogs).

In February of 2005 I got off work early because my friend Asheligh and Jared brother were coming in town to visit us. I had to stop and get gas and wash my car before going home, and Jared kept calling me asking were I was at. As I was walking up the stairs to our apartment there was a note on the door that said "Enter at your own risk if you want to marry me" I stood there for about a second and opened the door to see Jared on one knee with our song "Nothing Else Matters" playing in the background. Then he asked me the question that would change our lives forever "Will You Marry Me" of course I said YES!!!!!!!

Later that year we moved to Cordova, TN into a new little house.

On September 3rd, 2005 Jared and I got married. It was the most perfect wedding I always dreamt about. We went on our Honeymoon in December to Breckenridge, CO with Clint, Leana, Chip, Brooke,Kalie, Gabe, Jessica, and Murray. It wasn't your typical Honeymoon, but we had a GREAT time.

In May of 2006 Jared got a phone call from his boss Scott, saying that they had a Sales position open in Little Rock. Of course he said yes and we were on our way back to Arkansas!!!!

April 2006 we bought our first house. We only had a week to find a house and it was getting a little stressful, so I told Jared that I wanted to go look at a few more houses. I came back to Clint, Gabe, and Murrays house were Jared was at and told him I found THE house! And it was perfect, 3 bedrooms 2 baths, looked out to the woods, and had the best neighbors right across the street!!!! We couldn't have asked for anything better. I started my new job right away as a nanny for 2 girls, Kayle was 3 and Lindsey was 6 weeks old.

In August of 2006 I took a trip by myself back home to Bella Vista for my friends birthday party. For some reason that night I didn't feeling like drinking. The birthday girl had a few too many to drink that night so I decided I would take her home and call it a night.

On my way back to Little Rock, I wasn't feeling like myself, so I decided to stop at the store and get a pregnancy test. So I went home and took both of them and.......they were POSITIVE, I was thinking WOW Im pregnant. I ran out to the kitchen and told Jared "Your going to be a daddy" He was so happy, but I wanted to go get more test just to make sure.

My pregnancy could have been any better, it was amazing. Never got sick and only gained about 28 pounds. The only curve ball that happened was we had 2 doctors tell us it was a girl. Her name was going to be Addison Jade. For Valentines Day I wanted to surprise Jared with a 4D ultrasound. My grandmother came with me to the ultrasound and my mom was on her way. Before the Tech started she asked me if I knew what the sex of the baby was, so she wouldn't let anything slip out. I said "yes its a girl" as she was looking around she has this look on her face like something was wrong. She looked up at me and my grandmother and said "Oh no honey, hes got outdoor plumbing" I started crying because I just had my girl baby shower the day before. When I showed Jared the surprise he was pretty shocked like the rest of us, but happy he was healthy.
The week before I was due the doctor decided to to induce my pregnancy at 6:00 a.m on the 2nd of April. The day before my family and Jareds family came in town to get ready to meet their first grandson. At 2:oo a.m. I woke up and had noticed that my water broke. I turned to Jared and said " I think my water just broke" He sat up quick and said "Its going to be ok" I called the doctor and told them what was going on and she said to head to the hospital. So we told our family and headed to the hospital. I wasn't in any pain yet till we we checked in then they stared to kick in.

After 17 hours of labor at 6:11 p.m Jackson David Price was born. 6 lbs 11oz and 22 inches long!!!! Perfect little baby. The whole family was in the room minutes after he was born. It was such an amazing experience.
